Joseph Hachem

An Austrailian bloke, Joseph Hachem a mortgage broker won $7.5 million at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, July 2005. The only down side it his friendly tax man wants his share of the winnings.

In Australia, a professional gambler is liable for taxes on offshore winnings, but lawyer Peter Donovan successfully argued that poker was Hachem's hobby, not his profession, when he won.

The next time he wins I think he will probably have to pay some taxes or can he get away with it a second time?. But getting $7.5 million tax free, would you care if you had to pay tax on your next set of winnings...mhhhhh
