12th January 2006 : Possible Big Tournament For Bahamian Players

We, at Bahamas Poker Blog, are curently in discussion with our friends in the poker playing community (both players at home and organisations abroad) about the establishment of a regular poker league in Nassau.

Although, obviously we cannot play for cash, we are looking into the legal implications of holding a prize-based event right here with the winner getting bought into a major event in Vegas or elsewhere.

There is, obviously a bit of a legal minefied out there and we need to progress with caution, but given the massive popularity of the game worldwide and the increasing number of Bahamians who are interested, its at least worth a go.
