Day 1 of the Canadian Poker Championship 2006, at the Atlantis Resort and Casino on Paradise Island, The Bahamas.

The boys at Bahamas Poker Blog got to meet up with Mike Jenkins, the 'man-in-charge' at the PartyPoker Canadian Poker Championship, 2006. He was generous enough to give us a free reign in covering the tournament, so it looks like we're game on for a busy week.

As much as possible, we'll bring you live coverage of the Party Poker Canadian Poker Championship, with evening updates when we can.

Players are due to be seated and ready to play at 3pm. The tables are ready, dealers are flexing and the camera guys are polishing up their lenses.
