Day 2 - Down to 54 competitors.

Day 1: Chip Leaders

1. Webber Kang - $58,525
2. Bob West - $53,250

Bob West in red hat.

3. David Matthew - $47,100

With Glen Coward in by the skin of his teeth at 54th on $1,575

2pm Start - Ante $50;Blinds 200/400

1st Hand of the day and we already have an 'All-In': Steven Garrett, who sat down with just $8,675 (41st) has decided that now's as good a time as any to stamp his mark:
All-In with A,J, unsuited. Adrian Thomas (with $23,000, 15th) is game on, speculating that Garrett is attempting to mug the blinds, sees him with 4,4.

The Flop: K,3,6 - Thomas favoured
Turn: Q - Garrett needs 10, J or A

River: 10! - Steven Garrett takes it with the nut straight and doubles up - Safe for now!

Things settle down for a bit while the tables find their levels. Table 3 is being televised and Glenn Coward's $1,500 looks a paltry sum next to Webber Kang's IMAGE 45 $58,000, though in fairness, he's holding out well.

2.50pm: Another 'All-In'
Table 1, David Rogers, in at 46th with $6,650, slips quietly away, his tournament over. Soon followed by Adrian Thomas, winner of the opening hand - perhaps a little too aggressive, or was that just the way of the breaks?

HIGH DRAMA

Kirk Bell, who has increased his pot magnificently may be going out, pending a steward's enquiry... He showed his cards to Hoon Chun, at the same table who was still in the hand. Possible collusion, but unlikely and Kirk pleading stupidity. The verdict..... 10 minutes away from the table. Afterwards Kirk told us "I was lucky not to be ejected." Joel Font makes a joke about knowing what its like when you give your kids a time-out.

3.40pm: Next out is Ray Fortifr from table 2 - an astonishingly quick exit of Chun as 80 minutes ago he was sitting pretty with $22,275. But that's the game, I guess - anyway, it clears up the collusion suspicions.

Meanwhile, on table 5, Chuck Winter goes 'All-In' with Jacks for $6,750. This is picked up by I know not whom who joins him with 7, 10 spades pretty ballsy.

Flop: K,9,8 - still favouring the jacks slightly
Turn: 5 - money still on Jacks, challenge needs a 6 or Jack for the straight

Flop: 6 - Outrageous! Chuck Winter leaves us.
